Visibility of static routes
The dynamic routing protocols view Traffic Management Microkernel (TMM) static routes as kernel
routes. (
TMM static routes
are routes that you configure using
tmsh
or the BIG-IP Configuration utility.) Because TMM static routes are
viewed as kernel routes, a TMM static route has a higher precedence than a dynamic route (with an
identical destination).Management routes and addresses are not visible to the dynamic routing protocols and cannot be advertised. Routes to the networks reachable through the management interface can be learned by dynamic routing protocols if they are reachable through a VLAN, VLAN group, or tunnel.
