Common Elements for IP intelligence

  1. Log in to the command line for the BIG-IP system.
  2. On the Main tab, click
    Security
    Application Security
    IP Addresses
    IP Intelligence
    .
    The IP Intelligence screen opens.
  3. In the
    Current edited policy
     list near the top of the screen, verify that the edited security policy is the one you want to work on.
  4. Select the
    Match Type
     for the IP intelligence category.
    By default, IP intelligence blacklist categories match
    Source
     only, but you can configure categories to match
    Source and Destination
     or
    Destination
     only.
  5. Click the
    Add to Category
     button.
    The
    Add Entry
     popup screen appears.
  6. In the
    Insert (IP Address)
     field, type an IP address to add to the blacklist category or categories.
  7. In the
    Seconds
     field, specify the duration for which the address should be added to the blacklist category.
  8. To allow the IP address to be advertised to edge routers so they will null route the traffic, select
    Allow Advertisements
    .
  9. Click the
    Delete from Category
     button.
    The
    Delete Entry
     popup screen appears.
  10. In the
    Delete (IP Address)
     field, type an IP address to remove from the selected blacklist category or categories.
    The
    Delete Entry
     popup screen appears.
  11. Click the
    Add Address
     button.
    The IP address is added to the blacklist category or categories.
  12. Click the
    Delete Address
     button.
    The IP address is removed from the blacklist category or categories.
