Common elements for NATs and SNATs tasks

  1. On the Main tab, click
    Local Traffic
    Address Translation
    .
    The
    SNAT List
    screen displays a list of existing SNATs.
  2. On the Main tab, click
    Local Traffic
    Address Translation
    SNAT Pool List
    .
    The SNAT Pool List screen displays a list of existing SNATs.
  3. In the Name column, click the relevant SNAT name.
  4. For the
    Stateful Failover Mirror
    setting, select the check box.
  5. Click
    Create
    .
  6. Name the new SNAT.
  7. In the
    Name
    field, type a name for the SNAT pool.
    An example of a name is
    snat-pool-1
    .
  8. From the
    Translation
    list, select
    Automap
    .
  9. From the
    Translation
    list, select a translation type to use.
  10. From the
    VLAN / Tunnel Traffic
    list, select
    Enabled on
    .
  11. For the
    VLAN / Tunnel List
    setting, in the
    Available
    list, select a VLAN, and using the Move button, shift the VLAN to the
    Selected
    list.
  12. For the
    VLAN / Tunnel List
    setting, in the
    Available
    list, select
    external
    and
    internal
    , and using the Move button, transfer the VLANs to the
    Selected
    list.
  13. From the
    Auto Last Hop
    list, select a value or retain the default value,
    Default
    .
    Selecting
    Default
    causes the BIG-IP system to behave according to the value of the system-wide
    Auto Last Hop
    setting, rather than enabling
    Auto Last Hop
    for this SNAT only.
  14. Click the
    Finished
    button.
  15. Use the
    Repeat
    button to create two other SNAT pools, each with a unique SNAT translation address, and then click
    Finished
    .
  16. Click
    Update
    .
  17. For the
    Member List
    setting:
    1. In the
      IP Address
      field, type an IP address.
      The BIG-IP system uses this address as a SNAT translation address.
      This address must NOT be on a directly-connected network.
    2. Click
      Add
      .
  18. For the
    Member List
    setting:
    1. In the
      IP Address
      field, type an IP address.
      The BIG-IP system uses this address as a SNAT translation address.
    2. Click
      Add
      .
    3. Repeat these steps for each IP address that you want to include in the SNAT pool.
