Troubleshooting Diameter
For the BIG-IP system version 12.1 and newer, there is no requirement for an additional license.
For the BIG-IP system versions 11.6 and 12.0, MRF Diameter virtual servers will not start unless you have the Advanced Protocols license with the LTM license.
There is a license check when loading a configuration. The co/var/log/ltm file contains a line for “MESSAGE ROUTING DIAMTER feature not licensed.” The license check is only when loading a configuration; no additional message displays when trying to connect to a virtual server.
