QUIC configuration overview
The simplest and fastest way to configure the BIG-IP system to manage web traffic that uses QUIC as a transport protocol is to create a virtual server to which certain local traffic profiles are assigned. These profile types include: UDP, TCP, HTTP, HTTP3, Client SSL, and QUIC. Each of the required profiles has settings that are optimized for the use of QUIC for web traffic.
The HTTP3 profile in this configuration is a custom profile that manages HTTP/2 traffic but is enhanced for QUIC scenarios.
The Client SSL profile in this configuration is the default profile
clientssl-quic
, which is already configured to specify TLS version 1.3 as the SSL version for the system to use. Using TLS version 1.3 is a requirement for configuring the BIG-IP system to manage web traffic using the QUIC protocol.
