Different customization settings are available when you create an access profile or per-request policy with the

Customization Type

set to

Modern

. Modern customization presents a reduced number of settings in comparison with Standard customization, but it includes the most frequently required settings.

Modern customization also maintains a separation between the settings in the access profile/per-request policy and the object in the content area, but the implementation is different. Modern customization, unlike standard customization, does not use server include files. Instead, it encodes customization data into JSON as part of the page.

Advanced customization for modern policies is available only as additional scripts and styles. Modern customization is rendered only on the client side.
