Creating an address space for Office 365
Create an address space to provide a range of IPv4
and IPv6 subnets, and DNS names using Office 365's auto-discovery URL.
- On the Main tab, select. The Address Spaces list appears.
- ClickCreate.
- In theNamefield, type a unique name for the address space.
- In theDescriptionfield, specify a description of the address space.
- SelectOffice 365in theTypelist.
- In theDiscovery URLfield, type the Office 365's external dynamic.jsonfile that lists URLs for auto-discovery endpoints. The default URL ishttps://endpoints.office.com/endpoints/worldwide?clientrequestid=b10c5ed1-bad1-445f-b386-b919946339a7.Microsoft recommends generating a unique GUID for each machine that calls the web service. For more information, refer to theOffice 365 IP Address and URL web servicepage on the Microsoft Docs website.
- In theTrusted Certificate Authoritieslist, select the trusted CA bundle to establish a trust in the discovery URL for Office 365.For additional security, F5 recommends creating a new CA trust certificate to establish trust in Office 365 endpoints instead of using the default CA bundle.
- Specify the response size limit from the provider endpoints in theMax Response Sizefield. The default is 128 KB.
- In theFrequencylist, select the frequency for the discovery run to be performed. The system downloads the endpoint information from the discovery URL and updates the address space. If using theCustomoption, the maximum frequency is 1576800 minutes (3 years).
- ClickFinished.
The address space displays in the Address Space
list. The
IPv4 Address Space
,
IPv6 Address Space
, and
DNS Address Space
fields
are displayed after the creation of address space and are auto-filled by the endpoints
from the Discovery URL list.
