Address space settings
Address space settings specify general address space
properties, configuration, and discovery task settings.
Setting | Value | Description |
---|---|---|
Name
| Text | Specifies a unique name of the
address space. The name must begin with a letter or underscore and contain only letters,
numbers, underscores, dashes, and periods. |
Partition/Path
| Typically, Common | Specifies the partition under
which the address space is created. You cannot change this value. Only users with access
to a partition can view the objects that the partition contains. If the address space
resides in the Common partition, all users can access it. Displays when you edit an
address space. |
Description
| Text | Specifies a description of the
address space. |
Type | Custom , Zoom , or Office 365 | Specifies the type of address
space object that can be created.
|
Discovery URL
| Text | Specifies the link to an external
dynamic file that lists IP ranges and Domain names for auto-discovery endpoints. Displays
when Zoom or Office 365 is selected as the address space Type . Zoom's dynamic file is a .txt file,
and for Microsoft Office 365 is a .json file. |
Trusted Certificate Authorities
| List selection | Specifies the trusted CA bundle to
establish trust in the discovery URL. Displays when Zoom or Office 365 is selected as the
address space Type . |
Max Response Size
| 1024 - 16777216
bytes | Specifies the response size limit
from the provider endpoints in bytes. Displays when Zoom or Office 365 is selected as the
address space Type . The default
value is 131072 bytes (128 KB). |
Frequency
| None , Every Day , Every Week , Every 30 Days , or Custom | Specifies the frequency for the
discovery run to be performed. The system downloads the endpoint information from the
discovery URL and updates the address space. If using the Custom option, the maximum frequency is
1576800 minutes (3 years). Displays when Zoom or Office 365 is selected as the address
space Type . |
IPV4 LAN Address Space
| IPv4 IP address in CIDR
notation | Provides a list of endpoint IP
addresses or network addresses in a CIDR format. You can add multiple address spaces to
the list, one at a time. For each address space, enter the IP address or network address
in the CIDR field and click Add .
In CIDR format, the IP address is written as a prefix, and the suffix indicates how many
bits are in the address - for example, 192.0.1.0/24. To edit, select the address and click
Edit . To delete, select the
address from the list and click Delete .When you select Zoom or
Office 365 as the address space type, this field is disabled and will be auto-filled by
the endpoints from the Discovery URL list. |
IPV6 LAN Address Space
| IPv6 IP address in CIDR
notation | Provides a list of endpoint IP
addresses or network addresses in a CIDR format. You can add multiple address spaces to
the list, one at a time. For each address space, enter the IP address or network address
in the CIDR field and click Add .
In CIDR format, the IP address is written as a prefix, and the suffix indicates how many
bits are in the address - for example, 192.0.1.0/32. To edit, select the address and click
Edit . To delete, select the
address from the list and click Delete .When you select Zoom or
Office 365 as the address space type, this field is disabled and will be auto-filled by
the endpoints from the Discovery URL list. |
DNS Address Space
| Domain names, with or without
wildcards | Provides a list of domain names
describing the target LAN DNS addresses. You can add multiple address spaces to the list,
one at a time. For each address space, type the domain name in the form site.siterequest.com or *.siterequest.com , and click Add . To pass all DNS requests to the
internal DNS server, specify * . Wildcard matching occurs as follows:
For DNS Address Space to work properly on a Windows-based
system, the DNS Relay Proxy service must be installed and running on the client. To
edit, select the address and click Edit . To delete, select the address from the list and click Delete .When you select Zoom or Office 365 as the address space type, this
field is disabled and will be auto-filled by the endpoints from the Discovery URL
list. |
Last Run Time
| Date and Time | Specifies the last run time the
system ran the discovery task and updated the address space list. This field displays in
the Properties screen when you edit an address space. The green circle icon next to the
run time indicates that the discovery process was run within the specified frequency
interval. The blue square icon indicates that the last run time information is expired.
|
Start Time
| Date and Time | Specifies the start time of the
discovery task. This field displays in the Properties screen when you edit an address space whose discovery task has
started. |
End Time
| Date and Time | Specifies the end time of the
discovery task. This field displays in the Properties screen when you edit an address space whose discovery task has
ended or stopped. |
Status
| Text | Specifies the status of the
discovery task. This field displays in the Properties screen when you edit an address space whose discovery task has
started.
|
Error
| Text | Specifies the error message the
last time the discovery task produced a run error. This field displays in the Properties screen when you edit an
address space whose discovery task has an error message. |
Warning
| Text | Specifies a warning message for
the discovery task that is in progress. This field displays in the Properties screen when you edit an
address space whose discovery task has a warning message. |
