Preparing to upgrade BIG-IQ

Pre-upgrade checklist

Verify the compatibility of software on managed BIG-IP devices

Verify all BIG-IQ licenses and services contracts

Download the BIG-IQ software and MD5 file

Upload the BIG-IQ software images

Verify connectivity requirements

Check the disk volume size required by the BIG-IQ software upgrade

Check the volume sizes on your current BIG-IQ installation

Check to see if you have an open slot to install the software on

Increase the size of a disk volume

Check the status of daemons running on BIG-IQ

Download the BIG-IQ pre-upgrade check tool and MD5 file

Verify all staged configuration changes are deployed

Upgrading BIG-IQ to the Latest Version

Remove the standby BIG-IQ system from the HA pair
