Add BIG-IP VELOS and rSeries devices to BIG-IQ Central Manager

Before you add VELOS or rSeries to BIG-IQ Central Manager, you must have the FQDN/IP Address, and the username and password for the device.

Add a VELOS and rSeries device running BIG-IP version 17.1 or later to BIG-IQ Central Manager so that you can create backups immediately, or on a regular schedule.

  1. At the top of the screen, click Devices.

  2. On the left, click F5OS > Platform / Devices

  3. Click the Add VELOS/rSeries System button at the top of the screen.

  4. Specify a name to identify this device.

  5. Enter the FQDN/IP address, username, and password.

  6. Click the Submit & Add button.

The device appears in the Platform /Devices list.
