r5000/r10000/r12000 Series
platforms include 10 G (SFP+) ports (1.1-1.4 and 2.1-2.4), in which you can use 10 G (SFP+) or 1G (SFP) transceiver modules.The r2000/r4000 Series platforms include 1G SFP ports (1.0-4.0 and 7.0-10.0) and 10G SFP ports (5.0-6.0, 11.0-12.0), in which you can use 10 G (SFP+) or 1G (SFP) transceiver modules.
The SFP+ ports on these platforms are not backwards compatible with SFP transceiver modules.
