VLAN assignment to route domains
If you explicitly create route domains, you should consider the following facts:
- You can assign VLANs (and VLAN groups) to route domain objects that you create. Traffic pertaining to that route domain uses those assigned VLANs.
- During BIG-IP® system installation, the system automatically creates a default route domain, with an ID of 0. Route domain 0 has two VLANs assigned to it, VLANinternaland VLANexternal.
- If you create one or more VLANs in an administrative partition other thanCommon, but do not create a route domain in that partition, then the VLANs you create in that partition are automatically assigned to route domain 0.
