Creating an alert server pool
Before creating an alert server pool, you should create an alert server node.
Create a pool of servers that are grouped together to receive and process alerts.

On the Main tab, click Local Traffic > Pools.
The Pool List screen opens.

Click Create.
The New Pool screen opens.

In the Name field, type a unique name for the pool.

If you want to send alerts to BIG-IQ® Logging Nodes, select a Load Balancing Method from the list.

At the New Members setting, select Node List.

In the Address field:
- If you want to send alerts to the FPS Dashboard, select the IP address of your alert server.
- If you want to send alerts to BIG-IQ Logging Nodes, select the IP address of an internal Self-IP on the Logging Node.

In the Service Port field:
- If you want to send alerts to the FPS Dashboard, select HTTP or HTTPS from the list.
- If you want to send alerts to BIG-IQ Logging Nodes, type
8008in the text box.

Click Add.

If you want to send alerts to BIG-IQ Logging Nodes, repeat steps 6-8 for every Logging Node.

Click Finished.
The new pool appears in the Pools list.
